CIC energiGUNE, Spain

CIC energiGUNE is a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA). The centre focuses on electrochemical and thermal storage. CIC energiGUNE has been a pioneer in Na-Ion batteries, and solid-state batteries in both ceramic and polymeric electrolyte. The centre also specializes in other technologies such as Zn-Air (and metal-air in general) as well as LiS, redox flow
batteries and supercapacitors.
batteries and supercapacitors.
CIC energiGUNE´s research groups focus on atomistic modelling, materials, cell design, interfacial analysis (SEI), cell fabrication and post-mortem. CIC energiGUNE has a cell prototyping line whose room conditions allow to work with any type of technology. Likewise, the centre has numerous characterization platforms that make it a reference centre in this field (XPS and surface analysis, X-Ray, TEM, SEM, NMR of solids and liquids, etc.).
