A post-doctoral position is available in Materials science at CRISMAT laboratory (Caen, Normandy) in the group “Materials for Energy”. This position is opened to a highly motivated candidate with a Ph. Degree in Material Sciences/Solid State Chemistry/Solid State Electrochemistry. We are seeking a young researcher to develop high energy density electrode materials for Li ion batteries in collaboration with SAFT Company (http://www.saftbatteries.com/fr). Candidate will synthesize and characterize the electrode materials from the chemical, physical and electrochemical point of view (chemical analysis, magnetic measurements, X-Ray Diffraction refinement, potentiostat/galvanostat techniques, impedance spectroscopy,...). Hands-on experience with nanomaterials will be preferred. Duties include also the scale up material synthesis as well as high-level data analysis, report, manuscript writing, and oral presentations on a regular basis.
The anticipated start date is January 1st 2016. Initial appointment is a one year (renewable) term.
