In Memoriam: Janko Jamnik (NIC, ALISTORE founder member)

We are shocked since we learnt the brutal news and want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to Prof. Jamnik’s family, colleagues and friends. We had not been in touch for a while, as his highly demanding responsibilities at NIC took most of his time but we’ll always remember him, discrete , calm smile but loud voice, at all times eager to discuss science. His outstanding contributions in the theory and Li-ion battery fields will remain with us but ALISTORE and energy science will forever miss him.
